German wine is awesome!!

2006 Darting Riesling Kabinett, Dürkheimer Michaelsberg, Pfalz, Germany $15.95LCBO #950212

This week’s wine is from one of the most underrated regions in the world. Germany has long been known for sickly sweet wines like Black Tower and Blue Nun. Trust me…those days are over.

This very well crafted German Riesling from the Pfalz region has flavours of grapefruit and honey with a slight fizzy kick that brings the whole package together. This is the perfect wine to pair with Chinese food or just to have on it’s own.

At $15.95, I would recommend that if you have never tried a German wine this should be the one. So get down to the LCBO and pick up a bottle…but that’s just my opinion. Let me know what you think.
